A Report on Swachta Abhiyan

FORWARD

This report intends to brief about the involvement and support served by 06 KAR AIR SQN NCC, Flight – B, cadets of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodbidri for the Swachh Bharath Abhiyan on 02 Oct 2021, a journey towards cleaner and pollution free India. The NCC event was collaborated by Grampanchayath of Yadapadavu. The NCC team was led by Fg Offr Parveez Shariff and supported Mr. Sukumar, President of Yadapadavu Grampanchayat.

MOTTO OF THE PROGRAM

Today on 02 Oct, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and Azadi ka Amruth Mohotsav, Air wing NCC cadets of Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodbidri, 06 Kar Air Sqn NCC, Mangalore in collaboration with Yadapadavu Grampanchayat conducted plogging and Swachta Abhiyan at Yadapadavu for the stretch of 04 kms. Swachh Bharath Abhiyan is an envisage towards a cleaner and greener India.

PRECEEDING OF THE PROGRAM

The event started at 07:45 am and ended at 10:45 am. In this event 24 NSS students of AIET also participated. Total of 56 bags of garbage is collected. The program was conducted with a total strength of 49 NCC cadets. Short briefing about the reason and the seriousness of the program was given. Keeping in mind of Azadi Ka Amrat Mahotsav and the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti the Swachtha Abhiyan was conducted.

The cadets served for the program by cleaning of the roads and streets in the vicinity Yedapadavu. The cadets participated actively in the program by ploughing and cleaning. A total of 04 km was covered by the cadets during the Swachtha program.

CONCLUSION

The Swachhta Awareness program and the corresponding activities empowered the cadets positively. The motto of the program was successfully achieved as all the cadets were convinced with the motto and the idea behind the Abhiyan while clearing the shoulders of the roads that were spotted with trash.

We would like to thank Mr. Sukumar, President and members of Grampanchayath Office, Yadapadavu. We thank Commanding Officer and staff of 06 Kar Air Sqn NCC, Mangalore, Principal, AIET and Management of AEF for consistent support and encouragement. The 06 AIR SQN NCC, Flight – B, Alva’s Air Wing NCC foresees for more such opportunities.
